John has moved up not away
Issued: June, 2010
John Hodder our retiring General Manager has taken up the post of General Manager for PETNET Solutions in the Asia Pacific region. John will still be associated with the Australian PETNET Solutions group although no longer on a day to day basis.
The new challenge for John will be the commissioning of two new PETNET Solutions facilities in Singapore and India and then the increasing presence of PETNET Solutions in the region.
In Australia, PETNET Solutions has already provided customers with an impressive standard of delivery performance and now the first and only market authorised product. This makes the decision to partner with PETNET Solutions an easy choice as there is now FDG F-18 that has a full market authorisation to support its use.
John is keen to implement the experience of the Australian operation into the international operations of the PETNET Solutions group. When we contacted John he was rather a busy person as he packed up his life of 63 years and headed North with his wife Trish.
"I never thought that my life would ever be measured in tonnes of paper but we have recycled over 2.5 tonnes of books and papers over this last two weeks," John said. "I knew I read a lot and had done a fair bit of study over the years but this was a real surprise."
"Trish has been an understanding partner over this time as three degrees and countless courses and travels added to the haul of paperwork."
John will still be contactable on a slightly changed email address that is john.hodder@petnetsolutions.com you will be able to contact him from mid April at the new Singapore facility and he has promised to continue to provide us with an update of the progress in the region.
John wishes you all a great life. There are a few spare rooms in Singapore in his apartment but they are strictly available only as booked in advance, but based on the information above they will soon be filled with books and papers.
John's closing comment on this move was "to make a difference in people's lives through service" is a guiding principal in business that has made PETNET Solutions a formidable company worldwide. It is the originator of PET Radiopharmacy and has the world's widest network of facilities to serve PET imaging. Working with the team in Australia at Lucas Heights has been the highlight of my career to date and I wish them all the best as we all move forward.
There are some hidden faces in the crowd too that deserve a mention," Jennifer Jolly who has presented our newsletters and promotional events so well over the last two and a half years, Andreas Krcal who was only here for 6 months at the start, but whose knowledge and assistance during the start up was invaluable and the staff at PETNET Solutions international Steve and Radu in technical and chemistry support, Brad Holmgren and Ed Plut in marketing, and the Cyclotron Engineers."
Au revoir and bon voyage John.
